How the AI job risk test works
The questions are about your tasks, not your job title: how much happens on a screen, how repetitive it is, whether you need to be physically there, whether people trust you personally, and whether you already use AI. Your score is the overlap between your tasks and what generative AI can do, corrected for how you work with new tools.
Which jobs will AI replace?
Research looks at tasks, not whole jobs. The ILO's 2025 global index finds that about 1 in 4 jobs worldwide is in an occupation exposed to generative AI (34% in high-income countries), with clerical work most exposed, and that most of these jobs are more likely to change than to disappear. A 2025 Microsoft Research study of 200,000 real AI conversations found the largest overlap for interpreters and translators, writers, customer service representatives and sales representatives, and the smallest for hands-on jobs such as floor sanders, orderlies and equipment operators. Both measure overlap with AI, not job losses.
Jobs that AI cannot replace (yet)
What the most AI-proof jobs have in common: physical work on site, caring for and dealing with people, judgement in situations that are never the same, and trust that is built over years. Jobs that mostly consist of text, standard answers or data on a screen change fastest.
What you can do about it
People rarely lose their job to AI itself; they lose it to people who use AI better. After the test you can take the AI-proof mini course: 5 short lessons with a small task for your own job, a final quiz and a practice certificate. Lesson 1 is free; the full course costs $9.99, once.
Frequently asked questions
Is the AI job risk test free?
Yes. The test, your score and the share link are free, without an account. Only the mini course after it costs money, once; you see the price before you pay.
How is my AI risk score calculated?
From your answers about your tasks: screen work, repetition, physical presence, personal trust and whether an intern with AI could do your work. Using AI tools and trying new tools lowers your risk.
Is this a prediction that I will lose my job?
No. It is a playful self-check of how much your tasks overlap with what AI can do. Research such as the ILO 2025 index expects most exposed jobs to change rather than disappear.
Which jobs are most at risk from AI?
Jobs that are mostly text, standard answers or data on a screen: translators, writers, customer service and clerical work score highest in the research. Hands-on jobs and care work score lowest.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes, if you take the AI-proof mini course and pass its final quiz (6 of 8): a MyLevel practice certificate (PDF) with your name, score and a verification link. It is not an official credential.
Is there a subscription?
No. The course is a one-time payment. If it is not useful, reply to your receipt email within 14 days for a full refund, no questions asked.
